One lesson that I learned comes from verses 10 and 11.
11 For I command all men, both in the east and in the west, and in the north, and in the south, and in the islands of the sea, that they shall write the words which I speak unto them; for out of the books which shall be written I will judge the world, every man according to their works, according to that which is written. While I'm not supposing that I am so great that many people will read my words I also didn't miss that point that says the Lord commands all men that they shall write the words which I speak unto them. I believe in the most recent General Conference the Prophet suggested that we write down the things that we hear from the Lord.
12 For behold, I shall speak unto the Jews and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the Nephites and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the other tribes of the house of Israel, which I have led away, and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto all nations of the earth and they shall write it.

Speaking of the last conference. I also read President Nelson's talk in Priesthood session Ministering with the Power and Authority of God. I feel like I've done what he mentions in the past. He talks of a father giving his daughter a name and a blessing but instead gives her a name and a nice prayer. We need to be worthy to actually bless our children and our wife. This makes me want to be more worthy to be able to receive the revelation to give powerful blessings to my children.
